Sterling Silver should be stored in an airtight bag when not being worn. The best way to remove oxidation is with a liquid cleaner like Tarn-X, available where cleaning solutions are sold.
Pour a small amount of cleaner into plastic or glass dish, dip a toothbrush or swab into cleaner and swish across silver surface, being careful to avoid the edge of settings so cleaner does not get trapped underneath.
Rinse under running water and dry with a soft cloth.
